Several large dairys in New Mexico, that do not use homones or antibiotics, know we can rescue cows that are not working out for their needs.  Things like bloating on the "hot feed", foot injuries, machine phobias, and similar problems that do not involve the cows being sick.  They would rather we rescued the cows than send them to the butcher.  We don't accept them unless they can be turned into happy, healthy, milk producing, family cows.
